In this hands-on workshop, guests are invited to bring a broken plate and learn the traditional Japanese art of kintsugi, the practice of repairing ceramics with gold. Guided by Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum staff, participants will carefully reassemble their piece while learning the philosophy behind this centuries-old technique. Kintsugi teaches us to see beauty in imperfection and to honor an object’s history rather than hide its flaws.
